Deb McDermott | creative director & copywriter

I’m probably never going to be famous.

As an introvert,* I'm just fine with that. But I do want to be known for what matters to me. And thanks to some big industry awards, a bunch of former direct reports who still text me for advice, and a portfolio full of work that makes me smile, I’m pretty confident that I’m known for being someone who cares a lot. About making great work. About doing work that matters. About being the kind of manager who truly understands her team and will fight for their ideas—and them—until the end of time. And about browned butter chocolate chip blondies. (My go-to recipe is legitimately legendary.)

After two decades in advertising, I still love writing, ideating, strategizing, and coaching, and I’m proud to have created smart, strategic work for everything from cars to beer (not at the same time—that would be irresponsible), sausages to educational travel (occasionally at the same time), banking retirement planning to baby products (both good investments). But I’m most proud to have created two small humans who make me swear under my breath more than any job ever has, but who provide endless inspiration for all my best work.

Let's do some great work together.
